It's been ages since the last time I blogged. Not that I'm busy, or lazy. I just didn't really have the mood to write, and I was kinda lost in a crowded world. But yah, now I'm here :) Lots of things happened and I'm going to list them here.
1. I passed my national exam, graduated from my High School with an average of 7.8. Lionel of course the highest, and then Shabilla, me in the middle and then Olga and Sandhi.. I remembered the day I got my result, I cried because of my math score. You know, I hate math. Why? Because I hate numbers, counting, those are big no no for me. My score in math was always bad, maybe the worst of all my scores. If I don't understand something, I felt shy to ask because sometimes my questions were basic, like what was minus x minus or 1 per 5 x 3 per 10. Super basic, right? But I swear, I didn't know how to answer that a year ago. I was ashamed, because I know my classmates will judge me for being so stupid (well, I am but ya.....) so I was just silent and pretend that I had no problem.
When the national exam was coming up, I panicked. Then I met him, Mr. Wariso, the best teacher I've ever had. He was old but has a jiwa muda :p The first time he gave me an exercise sheet, I remembered that I could only did 5 out of 40 numbers. I was angry to myself, but he encouraged me that I can do it. He taught me so patiently, he never judged me or said that I'm stupid. My score was raising, baby steps. From 3 to 4, 5, and I got 6.75 for my last try out. I expected 7.5 for my national exam, but then I got 7.75. I went to him, and said thanks for teaching me so well because he took a big role in my score. Then he said, "Don't say thanks to me. I was just helping, but YOU did it. It was you.".
I cried and it was tears of joy.
2. I'm now studying at English Prep School of The Hague University. It's one year program, and to be honest I enjoyed it! The first time I walked into THU I had a strange feeling and I felt so small. People were talking in languages I've never heard before. I came early on that day, the first day of orientation week. I sat alone in a room, excited to meet my new friends, but then..... a huge group of Chinese came to the room. I was afraid that I will be the only non Chinese there. It wasn't mean that I hate Chinese or being racist but somehow I know that they will be attached with each other because they came from the same land and I would be alone because I didn't speak any Chinese. Few minutes after that, an Asian girl, Akane came and sit next to me, and I asked myself why this girl wasn't sit with other Chinese and then we started to talk, introduced each other, then she said she's a Japanese and I was like oooooooh so thats why she's not sitting there with the group. I felt so stupid afterwards, and yes, I am one of those people who can't see the difference between Chinese, Japanese and Korean :p
I met some other really nice students, Daria and Zoia from Russia, and Gina from Korea who at first I thought she was a Chinese, again :p Somehow they become my really good friends in Prep School. We kinda made a group of international students in full year Prep School, and we've been hanging out together like yesterday to Starbucks It surprised me actually, how active my active my English turns out and realized that I have many non-Indonesian friends.

3. My family and I travelled to Italy by car, but stopped for a night in Munich (Germany) and Treviso (Italy) near Venice. We visited Milan, Roma, Venice and Vatican City. It was really really really great, we had so much quality time there.

4. I've been losing weight!!! HAHAHA omg its so random but yah it happened I lost more or less 9 kgs, and I'm hoping for more. I don't really know what happened actually, maybe because I was biking for the first 5-6 months to THU. Also, my school sometimes starts really early and I have no time to have a breakfast. I'm not a big fan of the foods in the cafetaria because the size are really really big, size of bule's foods :p I prefer to eat in my house where I can take the foods in my own size.
5. I did my very first IELTS test in Amsterdam with Hunter, my Prep School friend from China just to try how IELTS test was. I got a pretty good score, overall 7.0 out of 9. The best one was reading with 8.0 and 5.5 for writing as the worst. Yaaa, I need to improve my writing. I will have my next and my last IELTS on the 5th of April, I hope I will get a better score for everything, especially writing.
Well, those are for now. I will definitely write more often in my virtual public diary.
